Up Sew Late: D&G Sundress: Vogue 8974
Up Sew Late: D&G Sundress: Vogue 8974: There was an icy wind blowing down the street the other night as I walked home from the station, trying very hard to imagine being warm. Des...this is a fantastic interpretation of this pattern. You look absolutely stunning! I love it and hope you get several summers of wear out of it. Beautiful!

What a busy few weeks. Mom fell on August 15, her 54th wedding anniversary, sustaining a terrible tib-fib oblique fracture requiring surgery with placement of a titanium rod, steel plate and three screws. Some 19 days in a local nursing home for rehab. And now home a week, but unable to negotiate her walker means lots of care from me. I'm happy to be able to provide it and grateful I can but it definitely keeps me busy.
I hope to get back to some regular sewing soon.

Blogging To Document Sewing And Life Events
I've decided to attempt to make a blog posts on a much more frequent basis. For one, I began doing more garment sewing in the past couple of years and also, I think it would be nice to reflect back on what thing were going on in my life, even if the things aren't always good.
Now that my stepdaughter, Jamie Lin, and her family have moved just a mile away, I plan to sew some children's clothes for the first time in years and I certainly want to document that. I'll see how interested I remain when I have to learn the ins and outs of posting pictures and such.

Where Does It Go?
My how time flies. Until signing into my Google account to make posting remarks easier on a couple of sewing blogs I had totally, yep, totally! forgotten about ever starting this blog about nothing.
Many changes since 2009 but still putting one foot in front of the other. Working in a different location (same job, however) and watching grandchildren grow. I need to remember to make regular posts if for no other reason than to revisit my own history from time to time. :)

Whew! Color me a tired puppy. 1500 lbs. of cow manure spread over the little garden spot and plowed and raked in. Please god, let it help my pathetic efforts at gardening! Also got a small area prepared for tomatoes. NOTHING better than garden fresh tomatoes, nothing!
One roof estimate, two more to go. I can't believe that the roofing company recommends replacing the shingles on all the buildings. *sigh* We've barely got things looking nice and tidy since moving in and now we need a new room? *sigh* again. Such is life after a horrible hail storm, I suppose.

Tired, Just Plain Tired
Poor sleep a few nights in a row and early risings have worn me out. Of course it always happens on the busiest weeks, too. Every single day/night this week, except for Friday, there is someone to go, something to do. I don't wish my life away, but boy I'll be glad when Friday gets here. I think I'm going to bed as early as possible tonight. Too bad it can't be now! LOL
